Finding out our baby's GENDER!

I feel like we can finally put a face to our little bundle of joy and we can officially start our registry and shopping. We really cannot believe how BLESSED we are and new mommies if you have the chance to see your baby in 4D -3D DO IT!!! It was the most amazing experience to watch him on a big screen moving about and being a little sleepy head, it also made it seem so REAL. Now our name hunt begins and so far it seems like it's going to be a while before Chris and I can agree on a name. A little more about the picture above, my sister in law & cousin came down last weekend and good lord spoiled our little man ! They so kindly found these amazing little Van's and knew Chris would die once he saw them. I'm just so thankful for all of our family & friends and how much love and support they have been showing from our cousin Rachel planning an amazing baby shower to our parents daily baby check up phone calls and just everyone's love... my heart is really overwhelmed. Our baby is already one lucky guy and I am so grateful we have a loving environment to bring him into. In case you're wondering about that awesome onesie.... I made it! It took me a whole hour & a half but I  saw a tutorial online and was convinced I could do it. Hopefully, I can post a tutorial if I decide to make another one. It was made out of one of my band t-shirts and should be pretty easy if you like to use a ruler and pins, which I don't!!! Can't wait to hear from all of you, XOXO!

A Letter to Baby

Dear Baby S,
My due date seems so far away but I can't help but wonder what lies ahead. Will you have your fathers eyes and my olive skin? Will you be blessed with his abilities to solve any math problem or love to bury your head in literature like me? Will you share your dads humor? Will you love music like me? So many question fill my head day in and day out. The lessons I can't wait to teach you and the adventures we have yet to share all seem so close yet so far away. Now Baby S, I'm not saying we aren't nervous and that I haven't been reading any and every book on newborns but the anticipation of a new life, our new life, that we have created is too much joy to bear. I hope you love the outdoors and adventure as much as we do. I hope you are kind, ever so kind, because that is something your father and I adore about each other. I hope we can teach you to be a lover of LIFE not the material, a lover of people and nature. I can only hope that you love your grandparents as much as we do because Oh, man you were blessed with amazing grandmas and grandpas. In time I hope you learn that Family is everything, near and far, they, WE will always be there for you. It's strange to think that in a few months we will be holding you, getting to love you in our arms. I promise we will do our very best to share our knowledge with you, guide you and hold you but remember please be kind we're kinda new at this.
